CUSTODIAL MANAGEMENT SERVICE

Sealed proposals will be received by the Guilford County Schools (GCS) Purchasing Department at 501 W. Washington St. Greensboro, NC  27401 until 11:00 a.m. (EST) May 24, 2024, for custodial services at the locations below. Proposals submitted via facsimile (FAX) machine in response to this RFP will not be accepted.

Custodial Services at the following schools/sites:

  • Claxton Elementary –

  • Bessemer Elementary –

    Greensboro, NC 27405 
  • Millis Road Elementary –
    4310 Millis Road,
    Jamestown, NC 27282 
  • Montlieu Academy of Technology –
    1105 Montlieu Ave.,
    High Point, NC 27262 
  • Northwood Elementary –
    818 W. Lexington Ave.,
    High Point, NC 27262 
  • GCS Administration –
    714 Green Valley Road,
    Greensboro NC 27403 
  • Penn Griffin School for the Arts –
    825 Washington St.,
    High Point, NC 27262  

For a twelve (12) month period beginning on or about 7/01/24, and ending 6/30/25, the proposal includes an option to renew for four (4) consecutive one-year periods upon mutual agreement between GCS and the successful contractor.

A non- mandatory pre-proposal conference will be held May 8, 2024, at 9:00 am in Room 100 at 501 W. Washington St.  Greensboro, NC  27401. A non – mandatory site visit will be held on 5/9 and 5/10/2024 at the list of schools/site listed above. The schedule of tour times will be provided at the non – mandatory pre-proposal meeting on 5/8/24 at 9:00 AM EST.

Minority businesses are encouraged to submit bids for this project.  The Guilford County Board of Education awards public contracts without regard to race, religion, color, creed, national origin, sex, age, or handicapped condition as defined by North Carolina General Statutes, Section 168A-3.

The Board reserves the right to reject any or all proposals presented and to waive any informalities and irregularities.  GCS reserves the right to reject any and all proposals not considered to be in the best interest of GCS, to negotiate with one or more of the companies’ submitting proposals, or to reject all proposals.
