PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
CLOSEOUT OF CDBG ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECT 18-E-3078
Notice is hereby given that the City of Sanford will conduct a public hearing on June 4, 2024 at 5:00pm, or as soon thereafter as the agenda will allow, at City Hall, City Council Chambers 225 E. Weatherspoon Street, Sanford NC 27330 relative to the closeout of the Community Development Block Grant for Economic Development (CDBG) that was awarded to the City of Sanford in January 2020. The City received an award amount of $1,250,000 in Community Development Block Grant Funds (CDBG) for the Project Forge Infrastructure Improvements Project.
The purpose of this public hearing is to review the expenditures and activities that have been accomplished through the CDBG-Economic Development Project (18-E-3078). All activities are complete and the City is in the process of closing out the grant. Total CDBG expenditure for the project is $1,250,000. The project primarily benefited low-moderate income people at or above 51%.
Citizens will be given the opportunity to provide oral and written comments on the City’s use of CDBG funds at the public hearing. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend.

Formal written complaints or comments concerning the CDBG Project (18-E-3078) that are submitted to the City Public Works/Engineering Office prior to or following the public hearing will be responded to within ten working days by the City.
