Sealed-Bid Auction of Used Appliances And Other Used Items

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 

SEALED BID AUCTION OF USED APPLIANCES AND OTHER USED ITEMS 

Sealed bids will be received by the Housing Authority of the City of High Point (HPHA) for the sale of used appliances, mowers, and construction equipment until 2:00 p.m. local time, July 31, 2024.  The sealed bid packages can be sent by standard mail, certified mail, courier, or personal delivery in a sealed envelope to the HPHA at 500 E. Russell Ave., High Point, NC 27260 before 2:00 p.m. on July 31, 2024.  No faxed, emailed, or other unsealed bids will be accepted.

On Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. the items can be viewed in person.  All interested parties will need to report to the Main Entrance at 500 E. Russell Ave., High Point, NC 27260, and report in with the Receptionist.  This will be the only date and time for public viewing.  No exceptions.

Anyone wishing to place a bid must obtain a bid form sheet from the Senior Procurement Officer before 5:00 p.m. on July 23, 2024.  Requests can be made in person, by phone, or email.

All Bids are final. The winning bidder(s) will be informed by email before 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2024.  All items are to be picked up by 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024.  If arrangements are not made for the item(s) to be picked up by that date and time, the award will go to the next highest bidder.  They will have until 2:00 p.m. on August 19, 2024, to pick up the item(s).  If the second highest bidder does not pick up the item(s) by the designated time, it will go to the third highest bidder and will continue like that until the item(s) have been picked up.  All items will be paid for by money order or certified check and made payable to Housing Authority of the City of High Point, before the item(s) will be released.
