Outreach Event
The Haskell / Cooper Team is hosting an industry outreach event to introduce our Henderson County Judiciary Complex project to the local subcontracting community. Come meet with our representatives to learn about this upcoming opportunity.
The session is informal with some handouts that outline how to prequalify your company and general information about doing business with Haskell / Cooper.
Below is a general description of the project.
The Henderson County Judiciary Complex (JCAR) project consists of a new County Courthouse addition (Courthouse), a rehabilitated and renovated existing County Detention Center (Jail), and a new Detention Center addition (Jail Annex) located on the east end of downtown Hendersonville, NC. Construction to begin with the Detention Center, Courthouse to follow.
The Detention Center was built in 2001 and is located adjacent and to the east of the Henderson County Courthouse in Hendersonville. The detention center project includes additions to the current building as well as renovations, upgrades and maintenance work to the current Detention Center. The work is divided into six areas – five are additions to the building and one is the existing facility which includes renovations, upgrades and maintenance required for the current facility to create a cohesive, more efficient plan. The total square footage of the Detention Center when completed will be 119,667 square feet and have a housing capacity of 430 beds. The Detention Center construction will need to be phased to allow the continued operation of the facility with the least amount of disruption possible.
