Wake County Detention Center Annex HVAC Replacement (RFB 25-032).

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed proposals will be received by County of Wake in the Procurement Services, in Suite 2900, Wake County Justice Center, 301 S. McDowell Street, Raleigh, NC 27601 for providing labor, material, and equipment entering into a Single Mechanical Prime Contract for the Wake County Detention Center Annex HVAC Replacement (RFB 25-032).

Sealed Single Prime bids will be received until 3:00 p.m. on April 1, 2025.

All bids will be publicly opened and read starting at 3:00 p.m.

The general scope is as follows:

  • Replace chillers and associated pumps.
  • Replace boilers and associated pumps.
  • Replace eight (8) air handling units.
  • Replace two (2) smoke exhaust fans that are associated with the AHU 7 & 8.
  • Replace smoke exhaust fans SEF 1 – 6.
  • Replace 16 VAV terminal units associated with AHU 7 & 8.
  • Replace exhaust fans that are in the dorm area, the mechanical room, & electrical room.
  • Replace the five (5) unit heaters that are in the associated work areas.
  • Replace the DDC control system in all new equipment.
  • Clean ductwork associated with air handling units 1 – 8.
  • Deduct Alternate No. 1 – Replace 11 VAV terminal units associated with RAH-1 and RAH-2.

A Mandatory Pre-bid Conference will be held at 1:00 p.m. local prevailing time on March 18, 2025, at Wake County Detention Center Annex, located at 3400 Hammond Road.  All Contractors are to be present.
