High Point Center for Active Adults project in High Point, NC

PREQUALIFICATION ADVERTISEMENT

Blum Construction has been selected as the Construction Manager @ Risk by the City of High Point and is seeking to pre-qualify construction trade contractors to submit bids for furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and tools for the High Point Center for Active Adults project in High Point, NC.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Construction of a new Senior Center, called Center for Active Adults, with the aim being to re-house programs currently offered at the Roy B. Culler Jr. Senior Center (currently located at the former Oak Hollow Mall) and allow for new offerings and opportunities for active adults, ages 50 and up.  This new center will house various lounge areas serving different purposes, large multipurpose space, storage areas, a catering kitchen, art studio, office & conference space, and a fitness area & studio with a walking track.  Exterior scope to include relocation of community garden, new pickleball court, paving, and all associated sitework.

Blum Construction has a long-standing commitment to maximize minority and other HUB participation on all our projects, and we recognize the importance City of High Point places on minority and HUB participation.  There is an established 15% MWBE participation goal on this project.  Historically underutilized and minority business participation is strongly encouraged.  If MWBE subcontractors require assistance with bonding or payment terms, please let us know.  Blum Construction has the ability to create custom solutions to support a successful project outcome.  Examples of Trade Partner Support include quick pay arrangements, modified insurance limits, bonding access or alternative bonding solutions, joint check agreements, prequalification assistance, disaggregation of bid packages, alternate options for financial statements prequalification requirements, break out of materials and equipment to support cash flow.
