Celebrating Church’s 152nd Anniversary – Gregory Congregational United Church of Christ

Greetings on behalf of Gregory Congregational United Church of Christ, Wilmington, NC. Gregory Congregational United Church of Christ will host a small celebration on September 17, 2022, in recognition of the church’s 152nd Anniversary. The celebration will be held under a tent on the church’s parking lot located at the corner of 7th and Nun Streets. The event will start at 11:00 am until approximately 2:00 pm. The agenda includes:

Presentation of a new Historical Recognition Plaque for the church presented by Mr. Travis Gilbert, Ex. Director for the Wilmington Historical Foundation.

For the youth a dynamic portrayal of social reformer and abolitionist, Frederick Douglass, will be presented by actor/poet, Nathan Richardson from Suffolk, Virginia.

Presentation of a Legacy Recognition Award.

A Friend & Fellowship Luncheon will follow immediately after the program.

We are seeking donations to make this event a success and it serves as a launch for the church’s 2025 Building Fund Campaign to restore the church and other church properties in need of repair. Any donation or other support you or your organization provides will be greatly appreciated.
