Access Control Campus Wide, Security Upgrades Project.

SCOPE OF WORK:
Install new and renovate existing door access security systems including software and associated servers, and make security improvements, in multiple academic, administrative, and residential buildings across campus.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS:
Sealed proposals from a single prime licensed General Contractor in North Carolina will be received by the State of North Carolina through the University of North Carolina – Asheville (UNCA) until 3:00 pm on March 6, 2024, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at UNC Asheville, Millar Facilities Complex, Room S208, 220 Campus Drive, Asheville, NC 28804-8500.  Proposals shall be mailed or delivered to the following:

MANDATORY PRE-BID & PREFERRED BRAND ALTERNATE MEETING: 
A mandatory Pre-bid meeting for General Contractors (while subcontractors are encouraged to attend) will be held in conjunction with a Preferred Brand Alternate meeting for all interested bidders on (Feb. 15 at 10 am) at the Sherrill Center, Mountain View Room 417 located at 227 Campus Drive Asheville, NC 28804.  The door to the pre-bid meeting will be closed promptly at 10 am.  Any bidders arriving after 10 am will not be allowed to bid on the project.  Visitor parking is available in the P9 Sherrill Center Parking Deck, please allow adequate time to find and register for parking.  The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures, and bid forms.  Immediately following the pre-bid meeting, project designers and campus personnel will be available for a walk-through of the project sites.
