NOTICE TO BIDDERS 

Blum Construction in association with WC Construction has been hired as the Construction Manager @ Risk by the City of Asheville and will receive and publicly open sealed proposals from prequalified bidders for the construction of the Audio/Visual scope of the total Lewis McCormick Field Improvements Project in Asheville, NC.  Sealed bids will be delivered to the Asheville Public Works Building – Floor 1 – Room A109, (161 S Charlotte St, Asheville, NC 28801) and then read aloud.

Project Description:
The project will consist of a renovation and addition to the existing +/-4,000 seat ballpark in Asheville, NC.  Project scope will include modifications and additions to the existing Public Address system and Video system.  In addition, a new Video Production system and IPTV system are scheduled to be added to the project.  A new video board will not be a part of this scope of work.

The bid opening process will be as follows:

• Thursday, April 24, 2025: Bids will need to be dropped off in a box at the Asheville Public Works Building – Floor 1 – Room A109, (161 S Charlotte St, Asheville, NC 28801).  All sealed bids will be required to be placed in a sealed envelope labeled with the required details listed in the bid manual.
• Receipt of bids will officially close at 1:00 pm – No bids or supplemental documents will be accepted after the bid closing.
• Bid opening will be at 2:00 pm and will be publicly read out loud. The bid opening will be held both in person and via video conferencing.  We will go systematically by bid package until all qualified bids are read.

RFI Questions are due Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Noon.

RFI Questions regarding the bid should be in writing and emailed to [email protected] on the RFI submission form located in the bid manual and this project’s plan room; Questions submitted after the noted RFI deadline will not be answered.
