NOTICE TO BIDDERS

RFB #24-086

Sealed proposals will be received by the County of Wake in the Purchasing Department, Suite 2900, Wake County Justice Center, 301 McDowell Street, Raleigh, NC 27601, up to 2:00 p.m. November 14th, 2024, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for providing labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of Cary Main EMS, 819 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary NC 27511 (Wake County Bid RFB #24-086).

Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a Bid Bond in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the Proposal. Said deposit to be retained by the Owner (referred to as Oblige on the Bond Form) as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful Bidder to execute the Contract within ten (10) days after the award or to give satisfactory Surety as required by law.

The Bid Bond shall be conditioned that the surety will, upon demand, forthwith make payment to the Owner (referred to as Oblige on the Bond Form) upon the said bond if the Bidder fails to execute the contract.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Cary Regional Public Library, in the Adult Program Room, #221 at 315 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary, NC 27511 on Monday, October 14th, 2024, at 2:00 pm.

Wake County provides minorities and women equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of its construction program consistent with NCGS §143-8.  Bidders shall comply with the requirements of the Wake County Minority Business Enterprise Program, as outlined in Section 00 50 00 of the Project Manual.

No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for bids.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
