REQUEST FOR PREQUALIFICATION,
PRE-BID MEETING AND BID OPENING 

Rodgers Leeper will accept Trade Contractor prequalification applications for the subject project for the following bid packages: 02A Selective Building Demolition, 05A Structural and Miscellaneous Steel, 06B Carpentry and Casework, 08A Glass Assemblies, 08B Passage Door Assemblies, 09A Drywall Assemblies, 09C Acoustical Assemblies, 09D Hard Tile, 09E Floor Coverings – Resilient and Carpeting, 09F Painting and Wall Coverings, 09L Floor Coverings – Fluid Applied, 10A Specialties, 10C Lockers, 12A Window Treatments, 18A General Works, 18B Final Cleaning, 21A Fire Protection, 22A Plumbing Systems, 23A HVAC Systems, 23B Test and Balance, 26A Electrical, 31A Complete Sitework until March 14, 2025.

Prequalification applications may be obtained at www.rodgersbuilders.com. Send completed prequalification applications to William Satterfield at [email protected]; originals are not needed. Prequalification applications submitted late or incomplete will not be reviewed.

The project includes a renovation of approximately 27,605 SQFT of the existing Central Piedmont Community College Harris I Building to house Cosmetology, Massage Therapy, Esthetics, Nails, Natural Hair, and Barbering programs.

Rodgers Leeper will receive sealed proposals from project specific prequalified firms for each of the bid packages listed above until 3:00 p.m. on April 17, 2025 in CPCC’s Harris I Building, 3210 CPCC Harris Campus Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208 for the construction of the subject project at which time and place bids will be opened and read.

If three (3) bids from project specific prequalified firms are not received before the bid opening for a particular bid package, a Re-Bid Opening for that bid package will be held 3:00 p.m. on April 24, 2025 in CPCC’s Harris I Building, 3210 CPCC Harris Campus Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.

An open pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders on March 18, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in CPCC’s Harris I Building, 3210 CPCC Harris Campus Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208.  The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures and bid forms. The meeting is also to identify preferred brand alternates and their performance standards that the owner will consider for approval on this project. Preferred brand alternates being considered are:

Floor Boxes to be Evolution Floor Boxes by Wiremold

Door Hardware by Allegion / Schlage
