Blum Construction-TA Loving-Metcon have been selected in a tri-venture as the Construction Manager @ Risk by The Centennial Authority and will receive and publicly open sealed proposals from prequalified bidders for the construction of the Early Mechanical & Structural Enabling of the overall Lenovo Center Enhancements project in Raleigh, NC. Sealed bids will be delivered to the South VIP Lobby of the Lenovo Center and then read aloud.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This early phase is to consist of replacing the existing mechanical system and creating a new mechanical room as part of the overall renovations & enhancements to the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, NC. This phase of work will take place from February 2025 through October 2025 to turnover space prior to the 2025-2026 NHL season commencement. This phase of the work is to include the early structural enabling and mechanical package that is to be the predecessor to the overall renovation project of the entire Lenovo Center. Replacement will include providing, installing and powering new air-handling unit, selective demolition of existing mechanical room and creating new rooms by means of shoring and soil nailing new exterior wall.

The re-bid opening process will be as follows:

• Tuesday, January 28, 2025: Sealed bids will need to be dropped off in a box in the Lobby of the South VIP Entrance of Lenovo Center – 1400 Edward Mills Road, Raleigh, NC 27607. All sealed bids will be required to be placed in a sealed envelope labeled with the required details listed in the bid manual.
• Receipt of bids will officially close at 2:00pm – No bids or supplemental documents will be accepted after the bid closing.
• Bid opening will begin promptly after the bid closing time and will be publicly read out loud. The bid opening will be held in person. We will go systematically by bid package until all qualified bids are read.

All Bidders are strongly encouraged to include opportunities for Minority Business participation wherever possible in their respective Bid submission. Minority Business participation is a part of this contract and must comply with all requirements set forth in the Bid Manual. MWBE forms are required as part of the bid submission. The MWBE goal for this project is 10%. TA Loving-Blum-Metcon has a long-standing commitment to maximize minority and other HUB participation on all of our projects. If MWBE subcontractors require assistance with bonding or payment terms, please let us know.

Bids delivered prior to January 28, 2025, must be dropped off at our Blum Raleigh office at 4020 Westchase Blvd. Sealed Bids can be mailed but should arrive before 4:00 pm on the day before the bid, 01/27/2025, to Blum Construction Company, 4020 Westchase Blvd, Suite 160, Raleigh, NC 27607, Attention: Greg Humphrey.

Bids will only be accepted from prequalified bidders.  

The Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to reject any and all bids.
