Barnhill Contracting Company has been selected as the Construction Manager @ Risk by Fayetteville Technical Community College for the FTCC Cumberland County Regional Fire and Rescue Training Center Phase II project and will be conducting the following MWBE Informational Session. You are encouraged to attend the following sessions to learn more about project participation opportunities available to you. This Informational Session will be held at the FTCC Regional Fire & Rescue Training Center in Classroom #120 on Wednesday, February 21st, 2024, at 10:00 am (ADDRESS: 775 Tom Starling Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28306). This seminar will help to: Learn about the project and the scope of the bid packages; Inform and train Minority/HUB contractors in preparation for bidding this project; Assist in registration on the State of North Carolina Vendor link; Stimulate opportunities for Networking with other firms. The targeted bid date is JUNE 18, 2024.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Work includes construction of Phase II for the FTCC Cumberland County Regional Fire & Rescue Center to expand the training facility which offers multiple opportunities for live-training situations to prepare students for real-world emergency scenarios. Additional facilities and props in the Phase II expansion will be used to keep active first responders’ certifications and skills up to date. The campus is located on two Cumberland County properties addressed 775 Tom Starling Road and 4705 Corporation Drive.
THE SCOPE OF WORK WILL INCLUDE: The expansion and new construction of parking facilities and paving, site improvements, single-story live fire residential burn building with high temperature linings, two-story apartment live fire burn building with high temperature linings, and other structures including maintenance building, shelter structure, and storage building. Also included within the scope of work are fuel storage tanks, dumpster materials storage and flashover prop, oil/water separator, drafting/pump pit/tanks, gas fueled burn pit, and multiple concrete pads for referenced trainer props.
