PREQUALIFICATION ADVERTISEMENT
 

Blum Construction has been selected as the Construction Manager @ Risk by the City of Mount Airy and is seeking to pre-qualify construction trade contractors to submit bids for furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and tools for the Granstone Conference Center project in Mount Airy, NC.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Granstone Conference & Event Center will be a newly constructed +/- 18,500 SQ FT single-story structure.  The space will incorporate large, voluminous pre-function and conference/meeting spaces, as well as catering kitchen, breakout rooms, and support facilities (toilets, loading dock, etc.).  The roofing will be layered with “flat” roofing and parapets, with a “butterfly” roof feature over the main entrance view.  Exterior skins will be comprised of various elements, including metal panels, fiber cement, masonry/granite cladding, and granite window trim; “wood” look soffit panels at pronounced entrances.  Interior finishes will include paint/wall coverings, acoustical and specialty ceilings, and flooring to have a mix of carpeting, resilient flooring, and hard tile.
