GTCC – JAMESTOWN CAMPUS – NEW FIRE TRAINING TOWER

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the design, fabrication, and erection of a (4) Story Class A Burn Building and a (1) Story Vent Over Fire Prop that meet the requirements outlined in NFPA 1402, Standard on Facilities for Fire Training and Props, with associated utility, pavement, structural and electrical components.

Pre-bid Meeting
An open pre-bid meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, beginning at 10 a.m. EST in the GTCC Campus Operations Building, 1003 Bonner Drive, Jamestown, NC 27282 in Room 1128. The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures, and bid forms.

Bid Opening
Sealed bids will be opened and read on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 3 p.m. EST in the GTCC Campus Operations Building, 1003 Bonner Drive, Jamestown, NC 27282 in Room 1128.

Complete electronic plans, specifications, and contract documents are available from Westcott, Small & Associates, PLLC by email to [email protected] and in the plan rooms of eConstructConnect and Dodge Data and Analytics.

Questions regarding the construction documents shall be directed in writing to Westcott, Small & Associates, PLLC, Attention: Victoria Waldron Small, PE at [email protected]. All questions must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. No verbal requests for construction document clarification will be considered. A final addendum, if required, will be issued not later than 12:00 p.m. EST on Thursday, February 6, 2025.

GTCC reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. The HUB participation goal for this project is a minimum of 10%.
