Hayesville Intermediate School project

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Single Prime proposals for the Hayesville Intermediate School project will now be received by Clay County Schools (“Owner”) at the Clay County Board of Education Board Room located at 154 Yellowjacket Drive., Hayesville, NC 28904 on March 15, 2024, no later than 11:00 AM.

Sealed bid packages delivered or mailed before the bid date shall be sent to:

Bids shall be submitted in a two (2) envelope system. The outer envelope shall bear [1] the Project name and [2] it shall be sealed and addressed to the Owner. The name, address, and license number of the bidder, as well as the type of contract shall also be shown on the outside of the outer envelope. The outer envelope of the bid delivered by mail shall bear the name of the project and the following statement “DO NOT OPEN until March 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM.”

The outer envelope shall contain the following:
1.  Bid Security
2.  Certification of receipt of addenda, written on Contractor’s letterhead.

The sealed smaller inner envelope shall contain the following:
1.  The proposal and be marked on the outside, “PROPOSAL.”
2.  The project name and the name, address, and license number of the bidder.

Attached to the proposal shall be:
a.  Both MBE Form 1 – Identification of Minority Business Participation and MBE Affidavit A – Listing of Good Faith Efforts
OR
b.  MBE Form B – Intent to Perform Contract with Own Workforce.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
