Helen T. Chick Building Renovation project located in Fayetteville, NC

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS –
PROJECT INFORMATION SESSION

Blum Construction and Right Build International has been selected, in a Joint Venture, as the Construction Manager at Risk by Fayetteville State University, and will be hosting a Project Information Session for the Helen T. Chick Building Renovation project located in Fayetteville, NC on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 pm. Both virtual and in-person attendance options are available. A site walk of the Helen T. Chick Building will take place following the information session.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Project consists of renovations to the existing Helen T. Chick Building on Fayetteville State’s campus, originally constructed in 1968. The building is approximately 45,363 SF, divided across 3 stories, and currently houses student support programs affiliated with the school. Renovations to include replacement of existing handrails to meet building code, modification of existing hydraulic elevator to meet AHJ requirements, selective interior demolition and asbestos abatement, doors, frames & hardware changes, with new interior paint, finishes and specialties. ADA upgrades to include new toilet rooms on Level

  1. This project also addresses targeted fire protection, plumbing, mechanical and electrical upgrades.
