Irwin Creek Greenway – Statesville Road to Cheviot Road

INVITATION FOR BIDS 

Mecklenburg County Asset and Facility Management will receive single prime, unit cost, sealed bids for the Irwin Creek Greenway – Statesville Road to Cheviot Road until 2:00 pm EST., Thursday, July 25th, 2024, at which time bids will be opened at Valerie C. Woodard Center, 3205 Freedom Drive, Suite 6000, Charlotte, NC, Room 6003.  Bid, Performance, and Payment & Material bonds are required.  NC law and applicable regulations of various licensing boards and MWBE provisions will be observed.  The project includes +/- 2.4 miles of new greenway trail (asphalt and concrete) spanning multiple Mecklenburg County Parks and Nature Preserves with numerous access points, 7 bridges, nearly 500 feet of boardwalk, and all associated stream work, grading, drainage structures, furnishings, and plantings.  Bid alternatives include a trailhead parking lot and Pedestrian HAWK Signal.  Electronic plans and specifications can be obtained from Landworks Design Group, PA, at (704) 841-1604 ext. 709 and/or by email at [email protected] from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday – Friday.  Mecklenburg County reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals.  A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will occur at 10:00 am EST., Thursday, July 11th, 2024, at the existing baseball field parking lot located at Nevin Park, 6000 Statesville Road in Charlotte, NC.  This information will be made available in an alternative format for persons with disabilities by calling 980-341-2428.
