BIDDER PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUEST
Barnhill Building Group has been selected as the Construction Manager at Risk by Dare County and is seeking to pre-qualify construction trades and specialty contractors to submit bids for furnishing labor, materials, and equipment for the New Dare County Phase III, Manteo Public Works project in Manteo, NC. Please note: Only subcontractors who have been prequalified by Barnhill Building Group will be able to submit a Bid. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project, located at 1018 Driftwood Drive, Manteo, NC, consists of a two-phased demolition of existing site (utilities & hardscapes) and existing public service buildings, Site Development of approximately 10.6 acres, and the construction of the new Manteo Public Works Including six buildings (Administration Building, Attendant Building, Facility Maintenance Building, Fleet Maintenance Building, Recycle & Sanitation Building, and a Turf Maintenance & Mosquito Control Building) totaling +/- 57,608 SQFT. Sitework shall consist of existing site/building demolition, grading, storm drainage, utilities, paving, landscaping, fencing, etc. The new buildings are supported by shallow CIP concrete foundations and a combination of Pre-Engineered Metal Building structure, some structural steel & misc. metals, load bearing masonry, and structural metal studs. The buildings envelope consists of stone veneers on CMU masonry, siding on both CMU and metal stud backup, overhead sectional doors, glass & glazing, and metal roofing systems. Typical building interiors include CMU partitions, GWB partitions & assemblies, acoustical ceilings, PLAM casework, painting, resilient & hard flooring, and building specialties. Principal trade and specialty contractors are solicited for the following Bid Packages: BP100-General Trades; BP105-Final Cleaning; BP205-Demolition; BP390-Turnkey Concrete; BP400-Turnkey Masonry; BP500-Turnkey Structural Steel & Misc. Steel; BP740-Roofing; BP750-Siding, Boxing, & Wood Trusses; BP790-Caulking & Waterproofing; BP800-Turnkey Doors/Frames/Hardware; BP836-Overhead Doors; BP840-Glass & Glazing; BP925-Drywall; BP930-Ceramic Tile; BP960-Resilient Flooring, Base, & Sealed Concrete; BP980-Acoustical Ceilings; BP990-Painting & Wallcoverings; BP1005-Toilet Specialties & Accessories; BP1010-Signage/Identification Devices; BP1050-Lockers; BP1053-Awnings & Canopies; BP1220 Window Treatments; BP1232-Manufactured Casework; BP1315-Pre-Engineered Structures; BP2100-Fire Protection; BP2200-Plumbing; BP2300-HVAC; BP2600-Turnkey Electrical; BP3100-Turnkey Site; BP3213-Site Concrete; BP3231-Fences & Gates; BP3290-Landscaping. Packages may be added and/or deleted at the discretion of the Construction Manager. Historically underutilized business participation is encouraged. Interested contractors should complete the prequalification questionnaire by June 24, 2025.
