BIDDER PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUEST
Barnhill Contracting Company has been selected as the Construction Manager @ Risk by Fayetteville Technical Community College and is seeking to pre-qualify construction trades and specialty contractors to submit bids for furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and tools for the FTCC, CUMBERLAND COUNTY REGIONAL FIRE AND RESCUE TRAINING CENTER – PHASE II project in Fayetteville, NC.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Work includes construction of Phase II for the FTCC Cumberland County Regional Fire & Rescue Center to expand the training facility which offers multiple opportunities for live-training situations to prepare students for real-world emergency scenarios. Additional facilities and props in the Phase II expansion will be used to keep active first responders’ certifications and skills up to date. The campus is located on two Cumberland County properties addressed 775 Tom Starling Road and 4705 Corporation Drive.
THE SCOPE OF WORK WILL INCLUDE: The expansion and new construction of parking facilities and paving, site improvements, single-story live fire residential burn building with high temperature linings, two-story apartment live fire burn building with high temperature linings, and other structures including maintenance building, shelter structure, and storage building. Also included within the scope of work are fuel storage tanks, dumpster materials storage and flashover prop, oil/water separator, drafting/pump pit/tanks, gas fueled burn pit, and multiple concrete pads for referenced trainer props.
Principal trade and specialty contractors are solicited for the following BID PACKAGES: BP0100-GENERAL TRADES, BP0105-FINAL CLEANING. BP0210-DEEP FOUNDATION SYSTEMS, BP0390-TURNKEYBUILDING CONCRETE, BP0400-TURNKEY MASONRY, BP0505-LIGHT GAUGE METAL TRUSSES, BP0550-MISC. STEEL/STAIRS & RAILS, BP0580-TURNKEY PRE-ENGINEERED STRUCTURES, BPO725-THERMAL HIGH TEMPERATURE LININGS, BP0740-ASPHALT SHINGLE ROOFING, BP0750-METAL WALL PANELS, BP0836-OVERHEAD DOORS, BP0990-PAINTING, BP1010-SIGNAGE, BP1325-GAS-FUELED TRAINING SYSTEMS, BP2200-PLUMBING, BP2600-TURNKEY ELECTRICAL, BP3100-TURNKEY SITEWORK, BP3213-SITE CONCRETE, BP3231-FENCES & GATES, BP3290-LANDSCAPING. Additional Packages may be added and/or deleted at the discretion of the Construction Manager. Historically underutilized business participation is encouraged.
