ADVERTISEMENT TO BID
FOR THE
RALEIGH-DURHAM AIRPORT AUTHORITY
PARK ECONOMY 3 EXPANSION – PACKAGE 1
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID:
Balfour Beatty / Metcon has been selected as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) for the project and will receive bids from and contract with the principal contractors for the execution of the work.
Sealed proposals from Pre-Qualified Bidders will be received by Balfour Beatty / Metcon for the Park Economy 3 Expansion – Package 1 project on the following dates and times: November 8, 2023, at 2:00 PM
Bids will be received and opened publicly at RDU Maintenance Building, 200 Haleys Branch Rd., Cary, NC 27513.
A non-mandatory Prebid Conference and MWSB Workshop will be held on October 5, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the following address. A site tour will immediately follow the Pre-Bid at 2:30 PM. PPE will be required to participate in the site tour.

All bidders must be prequalified by Balfour Beatty / Metcon in accordance with the Airport Authority’s “Prequalification of Bidders for Construction or Repair Projects Policy.” The deadline for prequalification package submittals is two weeks prior to the bid date at 5:00 PM. A current listing of all prequalified bidders in each bid package and instructions for prequalification can be publicly obtained at https://bbcus.egnyte.com/fl/ZVvZGA0iqy
The Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to add pre-qualified bidders beyond this deadline.

All Bidders are strongly encouraged to include opportunities for Minority Business participation wherever possible in their respective bid submission. Minority Business is a part of this contract and must comply with the State of North Carolina General Statutes and RDU MWSB program. The goal for this project is 13% MSB and 9% WSB.

Subcontractor Opportunity Session
Balfour Beatty / Metcon is sponsoring a MWSB Outreach/Information Sessions to discuss construction of the Park Economy 3 Expansion project. This event will be held during the Pre-Bid Meeting on October 5th. Balfour Beatty / Metcon highly recommends that all interested 1st tier (majority and/or minority) subcontractors and lower tier subcontractors participate in this meeting as a subcontractor attendance will be considered towards “MWSB Good Faith Efforts.”
