ADVERTISEMENT TO BID
FOR THE
RALEIGH-DURHAM AIRPORT AUTHORITY
PARK ECONOMY 3 EXPANSION – PACKAGE 2 & 3 

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID:

Balfour Beatty / Metcon has been selected as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) for the project and will receive bids from and contract with the principal contractors for the execution of the work.

Sealed proposals from Pre-Qualified Bidders will be received by Balfour Beatty / Metcon for the Park Economy 3 Expansion – Package 2 and 3 project on August 22, 2024, at 1:30 PM. 

Bids will be received and opened publicly at the RDU Maintenance Building, 200 Haley’s Branch Rd., Cary NC 27513.                                 

A non-mandatory Prebid Conference and MWSB Workshop will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 1:30 PM at 200 Haleys Branch Rd., Cary, NC 27513.  Site tours will take place immediately following the pre-bid event.

All bidders must be prequalified by Balfour Beatty / Metcon in accordance with the Airport Authority’s “Prequalification of Bidders for Construction or Repair Projects Policy.”  The deadline for prequalification package submittals is 14 days prior to the bid date at 5:00 PM.  A current listing of all prequalified bidders in each bid package and instructions for prequalification can be publicly obtained in Tab 7 of the Bid Manual.

The Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to add pre-qualified bidders beyond this deadline.

Bid documents will also be available for review at Balfour Beatty / Metcon office located at 1001 Cemetery Road, Morrisville, NC, 27560.

All Bidders are strongly encouraged to include opportunities for Minority Business participation wherever possible in their respective bid submission.  Minority Business is a part of this contract and must comply with the State of North Carolina General Statutes and RDU MWSB program.  The goal for this project is 11% MBE and 11% WBE for Package 2 and 11% MBE and 9% WBE for Package 3.
