NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS 

BIDDER PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUEST 

Barnhill Contracting Company has been selected as the Construction Manager @ Risk by Rowan-Salisbury Schools and is seeking to pre-qualify construction trade and specialty contractors to submit bids for furnishing labor, materials, and equipment for the new Rowan-Salisbury 3-8 project in Salisbury, NC.  Please note:  Only subcontractors who have been prequalified by Barnhill Contracting Company will be able to submit a Bid.  PROJECT DESCRIPTION:  This project consists of the new construction of a new 3^rd-8^th Grade School for Rowan-Salisbury Public Schools constructed on a new site of approximately 12 acres, located at 1625 West Park Rd. Salisbury NC 28144.  On-site construction shall consist of grading, storm drainage, utilities, site improvements, paving, landscaping, athletic facilities, fencing, etc.  The new building is a 122,130 sf, 2-level high school with shallow CIP Concrete foundations, combination of Structural Steel and load bearing masonry structure with Brick Veneer and metal wall panel.  The building envelope consists of brick veneer on CMU masonry, brick veneer on metal stud backup, or metal panels on metal stud backup, and a PVC roofing system.  Typical building interiors include CMU partitions, GWB partitions and assemblies, acoustical ceilings, PLAM casework, lab casework, painting, flooring, and building specialties.  Principal trade and specialty contractors are solicited for the following Bid Packages:  BP100-General Trades; BP105-Final Cleaning; BP390-Turnkey Concrete; BP400-Turnkey Masonry; BP500-Turnkey Steel; BP642-Millwork & Casework; BP740-Roofing; BP750-Metal Wall Panels; BP790-Caulking & Waterproofing; BP800-Doors/Frames/Hardware; BP833 – Coiling Doors & Grills; BP840-Glass & Glazing; BP925-Drywall; BP930-Ceramic Tile; BP960-Resilient Flooring/Carpet/ Base; BP963-Terrazzo; BP965-Wood Flooring; BP980-Acoustical Ceilings&Wall Treatments; BP990-Painting; BP1005-Toilet Specialties & Accessories; BP1010-Signage & Graphics; BP1050-Lockers; BP1053-Awnings & Canopies; BP1110- Stage Equipment; BP1120-Library Furnishings; BP1140-Food Service Equipment; BP1148-Athletic Equipment; BP1232 Laboratory Casework; BP1240-Telescoping Bleachers; BP1250-Window Treatments; BP1400-Elevators; BP2100-Fire Protection; BP2200-Plumbing; BP2300-HVAC; BP2600-Electrical; BP3213-Concrete Paving & Sidewalks; BP3231-Fences & Gates; BP3290-Landscaping & Irrigation; BP3400-Turnkey Site.  Packages may be added and/or deleted at the discretion of the Construction Manager.
