Sealed Bids for the construction of the Skewarkee Gut Sewer Outfall Rehabilitation will be received by the Town of Williamston, at the Town of Williamston Town Hall located at 102 E. Main Street, Williamston, NC 27892 until 2:00 PM local time on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of:

Construction of approximately 390 LF of 8” to 15” point repairs, CIPP lining of approximately 6,430 LF of 8” to 16” existing gravity sewer, rehabilitating approximately 35 manholes and replacement of one manhole, and replacing 53 sewer services.

Bids must be submitted on the complete project.  Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Town of Williamston, 102 East Main Street, Williamston, NC 27892, and the outside of the envelope must be marked “Bid for Skewarkee Gut Sewer Outfall Rehabilitation”.  All bids must be made on blank forms provided and included in the Bid documents.  The name, address, and license number with limitation and classification of the Bidder must be plainly marked thereon.

Contractors are notified that North Carolina G.S. 87 relating to licensing of contractors will be observed in receiving bids and awarding contracts.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Rivers & Associates, Inc.  Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.

Bidding Documents also may be examined online at ConstructConnect Plan Room http://www.constructconnect.com/ and at the office of the Town of Williamston, 102 E. Main Street, Williamston, NC 27892.

Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a deposit of $150 for each set. Bona fide bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in good condition (suitable for re-use) within 10 days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund.  An additional electronic (.pdf) version of plans and specifications may be purchased for an additional $35.00 non-refundable fee. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “Rivers & Associates, Inc.”. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 PM local time on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at the Town Hall located at 102 E. Main Street, Williamston, NC 27892. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. In accordance with the Minority Participation Goals, potential prime Contractor(s), should attend the Pre-Bid Conference.
