STONE MOUNTAIN STATE PARK
FALLS STAIRWAY & OVERLOOK REPLACEMENT
Sealed proposals will be received by Craig Autry Jr., Project Manager with North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, Division of Parks & Recreation until 2 PM on March 27, 2025, at the Stone Mountain State Park Visitors Center (3042 Frank Parkway, Roaring Gap, NC 28668), for Stone Mountain State Park Falls Stairway & Overlook Replacement. At that time and location, all bids received will be open and read.
The Project consists of the demolition of the exiting wood stairways, landings, and platforms. and construction of new steel and wood stairways, landings, and overlook platforms along a portion of the Falls Trail. Also included is the construction of new grade steps and ground-mounted guard railing.

Contractors interested in bidding as prime bidders are required to attend the mandatory pre-bid and preferred brand alternatives meeting, which will be held on March 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Stone Mountain State Park Visitors Center (3042 Frank Parkway, Roaring Gap, NC 28668). In accordance with GS 133-3 and SCO procedures, this meeting will identify preferred brand items, of which there are none, and those considered as alternates by the owner for this project. NCDNCR reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.
