Subcontracting services for the Macon County Housing Department

PUBLIC NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS 

Notice is hereby given that Macon County will be accepting sealed proposals for subcontracting services for the Macon County Housing Department until Monday, July 28, 2025. Subcontracting services for the following trades are available for bid with respective close times.

Bids will be opened in the office of Lindsay Leopard, Purchasing Agent, located at the Macon County Annex Building, 5 West Main Street, Franklin, North Carolina 28734, at which date, time and place Macon County will publicly open and read aloud each bid. Interested parties may obtain a complete description of the subcontracting services on the county website, https://maconnc.org/finance-purchasing.html . The contracts for the same will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidders for each trade taking into consideration quality, performance, and the time specified in the proposal for the performance of the contract. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Macon County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

All Bidders shall seal the envelopes containing proposals and mark upon the outside the specific trade and bid close time. The name and address of the bidder must be plainly marked on the outside of each envelope.

Minority businesses, women’s businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids.
