NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

Blum Construction-TA Loving-Metcon have been selected in a tri-venture as the Construction Manager @ Risk by The Centennial Authority and will receive and publicly open sealed proposals from prequalified bidders for the construction of the Early Mechanical & Structural Enabling of the overall Lenovo Center Enhancements project in Raleigh, NC. Sealed bids will be delivered to a location TBD and then read aloud.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This early phase is to consist of replacing the existing mechanical system and creating a new mechanical room as part of the overall renovations & enhancements to the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, NC. This phase of work will take place from February 2025 through October 2025 to turnover space prior to the 2025-2026 NHL season commencement. This phase of the work is to include the early structural enabling and mechanical package that is to be the predecessor to the overall renovation project of the entire Lenovo Center. Replacement will include providing, installing and powering new air-handling unit, selective demolition of existing mechanical room and creating new rooms by means of shoring and soil nailing new exterior wall.

The bid opening process will be as follows:

  • Tuesday, January 21, 2025: Bids will need to be dropped off in a box at a location to be announced at a later date. All sealed bids will be required to be placed in a sealed envelope labeled with the required details listed in the bid manual.
  • Receipt of bids will officially close at 2:00 pm – No bids or supplemental documents will be accepted after the bid closing.
  • Bid opening will begin promptly after the bid closing time and will be publicly read out loud. The bid opening will be held both in person and via video conferencing. We will go systematically by bid package until all qualified bids are read.

RFI Questions are due Friday, January 10, 2025 @ 4:00 pm.

RFI Questions regarding the bid should be in writing and emailed to [email protected] on the RFI submission form located in the bid manual and this project’s plan room; Questions submitted after the noted RFI deadline will not be answered.

Blum-TA Loving-Metcon has a long-standing commitment to maximize minority and other HUB participation on all our projects, and we recognize the importance The Centennial Authority places on minority and HUB participation. here is an established 10% MWBE participation goal on this project. Historically underutilized and minority business participation is strongly encouraged. If MWBE subcontractors require assistance with bonding or payment terms, please let us know. Blum Construction has the ability to create custom solutions to support a successful project outcome. Examples of Trade Partner Support include quick pay arrangements, modified insurance limits, bonding access or alternative bonding solutions, joint check agreements, disaggregation of bid packages, break out of materials and equipment to support cash flow.

No facsimile or email submissions are permitted. Sealed bids must be received prior to the bid opening time at the location noted above. Sealed bids can be mailed but should arrive before 5:00 pm on the day before the bid to Blum Construction Company, 4020 Westchase Blvd, Suite 160, Raleigh, NC 27601, Attention: Lauren Ashley. Blum-TA Loving-Metcon will receive, open and read publicly all bids received.
