Triturator Replacement Project
NOTICE TO BIDDERS

The Piedmont Triad Airport Authority will receive Bids for the Triturator Replacement Project, in the Airport Authority offices at the Piedmont Triad International Airport, until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at which time and place all Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, will not be accepted.
This project consists of demolition of an existing 20’x10’ block storage building, demolition of 450 SY of existing concrete ramp, and backfill and abandonment of an existing oil/water separator. Project will also include construction of a pre-engineered canopy, construction of approximately 370 SY of concrete pavement, replacement of an existing grinder pump system, including associated plumbing and electrical work, and other incidental items necessary to complete the project.
Bid Security equal to 5% of the total Bid is required in the form of a cash deposit or a Bid Bond. Contract Security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. No Bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of Bids for a period of ninety (90) consecutive calendar days.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference Meeting will be held in the Stanley Frank Board Room at the Piedmont Triad International Airport on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM. The purpose of this meeting is to familiarize the prospective bidders with the proposed project. The meeting will cover contract scope, schedule requirements, and any questions from those in attendance. A representative of the Authority and the Architect and Engineer will be on hand to respond to questions from potential Bidders in attendance. A site visit will be conducted after the pre-bid concludes. Minutes from this meeting will be made available via addendum.

Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents will be available for purchase on or about June 4, 2024, by going to Plan Room at www.wkdickson.com . Please note that only registered plan holders may bid as a General Contractor.
Each Bidder shall be prequalified as a “Bidder” or “POC Prime Contractor” by North Carolina Department of Transportation at the time the bid is submitted. Any subcontractors shall be prequalified by North Carolina Department of Transportation prior to start of work on the project. Each Bidder must be properly licensed under Chapter 87, General Statutes of North Carolina (G.S. 87-15). Each Bidder shall certify, by submission of a proposal, that neither it nor its principals is presently debarred, suspended, proposed for debarment, declared ineligible, or voluntarily excluded from participation in this transaction by any Federal department or agency or the State of North Carolina.
The Piedmont Triad Airport Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in or to reject any or all Bids and to award or refrain from awarding the Contract for the work, whichever is deemed to be in the Authority’s best interest.

The Piedmont Triad Airport Authority, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that with respect to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
