Blum Construction will accept proposals until 4:00 pm on Friday, October 25, 2024, for the UNCG Taylor Theatre Infrastructure Renovation & Addition Project located in Greensboro, NC.
This project consists of upgrades to MEP/FP building systems of Taylor Theatre, a 3-story structure comprised of a basement, first and second floors. Originally constructed in 1967 and seats 409, this project includes an upgrade of the lighting, HVAC, restroom and lobby/ticket center, as well as the remediation and disposal of all environmental waste containing materials. Scope of work also includes a 3-story mechanical addition serving all levels of Taylor and will be located in the south courtyard. The south courtyard is to be renovated and elevated 8” to provide an accessible route from the basement level of Taylor. The addition houses 3 AHUs – one per floor – that support new HVAC systems within the rest of the building. Ceiling finishes and lighting throughout the building, excluding stage lighting, are being replaced. A new sprinkler system, switchboard, fire pump, and generator are to be installed. A new metal stair located in the former shop area will replace the existing throughout the project scope areas. Theatre upgrades include new fixed seating, accessibility upgrades, new wheelchair lift, and fire curtain replacement as part of an alternate.
This project has a goal of 10% MWBE participation. Please include the provided MWBE forms with all bids. If MWBE subcontractors require assistance with bonding or payment terms, please let us know. Blum Construction has the ability to create custom solutions to support a successful project outcome. Examples of Trade Partner Support include quick pay arrangements, modified insurance limits, bonding access or alternative bonding solutions, joint check agreements, prequalification assistance, disaggregation of bid packages, alternate options for financial statements prequalification requirements, break out of materials and equipment to support cash flow.
