NOTICE TO BIDDERS
RFB #25-049

Sealed proposals will be received by Wake County Procurement Services, in Suite 2900, Wake County Justice Center, 301 McDowell Street, Raleigh, NC 27601, up to 2:00 pm, June 12, 2025, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for providing labor, material and equipment entering into the construction of Wake County Detention Center Parking Garage Split System Replacement, located in Raleigh, NC. An electronic copy of the contract documents (PDF) may be obtained from the Engineer by sending an email request to Allison Jurgens at [email protected].  Complete contract documents will also be open for inspection in the offices of the Engineer.

Wake County provides minorities and women equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of its construction program consistent with NCGS §143-8.  Bidders shall comply with the requirements of the Wake County Minority Business Enterprise Program, as outlined in the MBE Resolution/Policy Section of the Project Manual.

Wake County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.

The scope of work consists of, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Removal of a three (3) evaporator unit VRF system and replacing it with three (3) separate split systems. These units shall have their controls integrated into the existing facility BAS.
  • Electrical power modifications to support replacement of the units.
  • $5,000 allowance for concealed conditions.
  • All work shall be performed normal working hours.

A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2:00 pm, local prevailing time on May 29, 2025, in the Front Entrance of the Wake County Detention Center, 3301 Hammond Rd, Raleigh NC. All contractors are to be present.
