WASTEWATER TRANSMISSION
AND PUMP STATION
BATH, NORTH CAROLINA
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Town of Bath – Wastewater Transmission and Pump Station will be received by the Town of Bath, at the office of Town Hall located at 103 S. King Street, Bath, NC 27808 until 2:00 PM local time on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The project consists of installation of a new 320 gpm submersible sewage pump station known as the King Street Pump Station in Bath, NC, including emergency generator, electrical, telemetry and chemical feed, approximately 54,000 linear feet of 8” sanitary sewer force main including horizontal directional bores and modifications of two suction lift pump stations in the City of Washington’s existing sanitary sewer system.
Bids must be submitted on the complete project. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Town of Bath, P.O. Drawer 6A, 103 S. King Street, Bath, NC 27808 and the outside of the envelope must be marked “Bid for Wastewater Transmission and Pump Station”. All bids must be made on blank forms provided and included in the bound document. The name, address, and license number with limitation and classification of the Bidder must be plainly marked thereon.
Contractors are notified that North Carolina G.S. 87 relating to licensing of contractors will be observed in receiving bids and awarding contracts.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Rivers & Associates, Inc. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
Bidding Documents also may be examined online at ConstructConnect Plan Room http://www.constructconnect.com/ and at the office of the Town of Bath, 103 S. King Street, Bath, NC 27808 (please note the Town office is only open on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00am – 12:00pm).
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a deposit of $300.00 for each set. Bona fide bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in good condition (suitable for re-use) within 10 days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund. An additional electronic (.pdf) version of plans and specifications may be purchased for an additional $35.00 non-refundable fee. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “Rivers & Associates, Inc.”. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 PM local time on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the Town Hall located at 103 S. King Street, Bath, NC 27808. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. In accordance with the Minority Participation Goals, potential prime Contractor(s), should attend the Pre-Bid Conference.
