The Pillaging of Africa
This article is a part of my ongoing coverage of our fight for the economic liberation of Africa. It is important to stress the fact that Africa is the wealthiest continent in the world, and for centuries, it has been plundered and pillaged by white supremacists. These plunderers are stealing the birthright of our children and leaving too many to live in poverty and misery. To support this mission, I regularly publish YouTube podcasts and, recently, a Facebook page.
This article accompanies my YouTube video, “The Pillaging of Africa”. The African Diaspora
Development Institute (ADDI), founded and led by former Ambassador Arikana Chihombori-Quao, MD, is leading the mission to liberate Africa. In my opinion, she is the most consequential Black leader since Dr. Martin Luther King in America and President Kwame Nkrumah of Africa.
Understanding today’s revolution in Burkina Faso and ADDI’s recent mission offers a case study of the resistance against the ongoing rape and robbery and a blueprint of actions taking place in other African countries and the resistance that will be replicated all over Africa until achieving economic liberation.
If you would like to support my efforts in the mission, please support the Greater Diversity News (GDN) YouTube channel, The Economic Liberation of Africa, and the Facebook page of the same name. GDN also publishes a newspaper, newsletters, and a website, www.greaterdiversity.com, that we use to support and promote this project. Black people will not accomplish this mission in a few years, maybe not in a few lifetimes. However, there is a fast-growing consensus that for Black people to achieve worldwide economic justice, we must first achieve it in our Motherland. Always remember Africa continues to suffer from the relentless exploitation by European colonizers and that it will not end until we end it.
Our mission requires Blacks from all walks of life to educate their families and friends about the importance of this mission and the necessity of initiating a new Black student movement to address our unfinished business of the Civil Rights Movement and African Independence Movement. African countries are pleading for Blacks in the diaspora to return and build the Africa we want. That includes taking control of the vast reserves of its natural resources, including gold, diamonds, and other minerals, for their economic gain and benefit. They are desperate to end the ongoing unfair trade practices and resource extractions.
Additionally, the vast investment opportunities in Africa include building companies that support agriculture, education, healthcare, and the many other industries you see here in America and other developed countries around the world.
The formal African colonialism of the past continues today through neo-colonialism led by
Western countries and multinational corporations. The first step in addressing the problems of today is telling the story. That is what ADDI and its supporters are doing. That is also why it is so important for Black people to become much more active on social media. Exposure is the best medicine.
In conclusion, we need Black people who find value in the liberation mission to commit some time and money to support the cause. Look for opportunities to support Black businesses and buy products produced by Black companies. Despite the many challenges, the liberation movement continues to grow and will find success.
