Farmington Hills, MI — Are you looking for a career instead of a job? Just like Zab Super Judah, 6-times world boxing champ, found a career in the health care profession. Zab assists by motivating the academy’s students to excel to bring out the champion within them.

The tuition includes all materials: lab, clinical supplies, scrubs, shoes, transportation to class and the cost of the state exam for licensure. The program also offers job placement upon graduation.

The Executive Director, Teberah Alexander (Nurse T), is a Michigan State University graduate and a Detroit Native. She received her Bachelors Degree in Nursing in 2003. Alexander has served patients in Labor and Delivery, Cardiac Step Down, the ICU and Long Term Care Unit, before establishing Compassionate Home Care Services; a company dedicated to serving a population of elderly individuals whose health needs were otherwise ignored. She later became a Certified Dementia Practitioner, enabling her to establish Kathelene’s Adult Day Care in loving memory of her grandmother, Kathelene.

Nurse T is highly regarded by many as a dependable leader whose efficiency and diligence has led to building successful team morale. She spends her leisure time traveling, mentoring, educating and changing the lives of everyone whom she meets.

Here’s what currently enrolled students are saying:

“This course has opened my eyes to the healthcare profession in a major way. Being in the class not only helped me but taught me the importance of excellent care. A lot of things this class has done for me is that it has opened my eyes to many things I didn’t understand about the nursing field. I absolutely love this course. Due to my current circumstances I was feeling down and out of touch with the way things were going in my life. As a single mother of 3 and currently homeless, this class has been a total blessing. I have regained my pride. I have always wanted to go back to school and was wondering how I was wondering how I was going to do so. I am truly thankful for my wonderful, strong, intelligent instructor, Nurse T, for going above and beyond her call of duty to make sure I am able to attend her Excelling Program. Her dedication, no nonsense, no excuses approach and not to mention the tough love that she gave, makes you want to excel further than you ever thought you could. Excelling Nursing Academy is by far one of the best programs I have ever been a part of thus far. I just want to thank the entire Excelling staff for all your hard work and dedication towards educating me to become not only a nursing Asst., but an excelling Nursing Asst!” — S. Johnson

“I feel this class had a great impact on my life. Coming into this class I wanted to change my life but felt I couldn’t do it, but I tried anyways. Ever since Teberah came into my life so many opportunities have opened up to me. She pushes me to do better. I feel she was my angel sent from God. If it wasn’t for Teberah I wouldn’t be where I am today. She boosted my confidence. I want to thank Teberah from the bottom of my heart for all the opportunities she sent my way. When I started the class I felt I wouldn’t make it. My head’s in the game and I’m ready for whatever life throws at me because I will graduate with the push of Teberah. She is a beautiful soul and a great teacher. Now coming up on week two of class I feel confident in the book work, hands on and I will graduate. Thank you so much for these opportunities. You really changed my life. Not just school but being able to do what I love every day for a job. Truly, thank you from the bottom of my heart.” — S. Harvey
