NOTICE TO BIDDERS

To All Interested Parties: The Piedmont Triad Airport Authority (the “owner”), 1000A Ted Johnson Parkway, Greensboro, North Carolina 27409, will receive sealed bids in the Stanley Frank Board Room at the Piedmont Triad International Airport for furnishing labor and materials for construction of:

PTIA Parking Structure Lighting and Electrical Upgrades

Bidding Requirements:

Bids will be received for construction of the project as follows:

SINGLE PRIME CONTRACT 

Bids will be received up until 10:00 am, local time April 15, 2024, and, at that time opened in person and read aloud.  Bids received after the bid opening time will not be accepted.

Bidders may inspect the applicable bidding requirements and the drawings, specifications, and other contract documents by appointment only at the office of the Piedmont Triad Airport Authority, Piedmont Triad International Airport, 1000A Ted Johnson Parkway, Greensboro, North Carolina, 27409, 336.665.5600 or at the office of Walker Consultants, 3525 Whitehall Park Drive, Suite 425, Charlotte, North Carolina, 28273, 704.247.6230.

A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.

No proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 90 days.

It is the policy of the Owner that Minority Businesses shall have the opportunity to participate in the performance of contracts financed in whole or in part by the Owner to maximize opportunities for Minority Businesses in the Owner’s projects.

By submitting a bid under this solicitation, the bidder certifies to have reviewed all documents in reference to the Contract, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Specification Sections, Drawings, addenda and modifications to the Contract Documents issued subsequent to the initial printing of the project manual and including but not necessarily limited to printed material referenced by any of these documents so to complete the work as indicated in the documents.

The bidders must be properly licensed under Chapter 87, General Statues of North Carolina (G.S. 87-15).

The bidders shall certify, by submission of a proposal, that neither it nor its principals are presently debarred, suspended, proposed for debarment, declared ineligible, or voluntarily excluded from participation in this transaction by any Federal department or agency or the State of North Carolina.

All bids must be made on the appropriate Bid Form.  Each proposal submitted shall be placed in a sealed envelope marked:

and delivered to the Airport Authority’s office at the Piedmont Triad International Airport, 1000A Ted Johnson Parkway, Greensboro, North Carolina 27409.

The Piedmont Triad Airport Authority, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 USC §§ 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders or offerers that it will affirmatively ensure that with respect to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration of an award.

The Piedmont Triad Airport Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to reject all bids and re-advertise, or to reject all bids without further action, whatever the Authority deems to be in its best interest.
