Beloved Community Center Celebrates the NC Truth, Justice, and Reconciliation Commission Initiative

by 09/12/2022

In January 2022, Beloved Community Center launched the NC Truth, Justice, and Reconciliation Commission Initiative.

This is a historic statewide, grassroots, people-powered process, commission, and movement designed to walk the varied segments of NC’s diverse population towards each other, so that they may eventually walk together.

On October 4-8, 2022, Beloved will host the first NC-TJRC Statewide Summit, featuring social justice, faith, labor, and youth leaders. Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, II. of the Poor People’s Campaign, Rev. Dr. Peter Storey of the South African Truth Process, and other key speakers will join attendees for the weeklong event of intergenerational panel discussions, social justice tours, and training sessions.

We’d love for you to join us as we continue forging this historic undertaking. Register now!
