The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic drastically affected how people conduct business and created an opportunity for creatives and entrepreneurs to utilize social media platforms to develop, collaborate, and expand their brands and business ideas. The Internet and digital platforms have enriched our lives in many ways, including expanding access to critical information and providing new avenues for diverse viewpoints. As we continue to navigate a virtual world, many Black people are engaging in new technologies to capitalize on their creativity. This virtual town hall will explore how creators of color use technology and their personal experiences to produce, teach and share with a global audience and discuss systemic challenges from the lack of representation online and the ways in which policy could influence creators of color and communities of color in the future.
