Sealed proposals will be received by Balfour Beatty Construction for the Johnston County Public Schools- New Elementary School in Smithfield, NC.

Bids for the following packages will be opened on March 19th, 2024 @ 2:00 & 3:00 PM:

2:00 PM:  BP1C General Trades, BP1G Final Cleaning, BP4A Masonry, BP6F Millwork, BP7A Waterproofing and Caulking, BP7B Roofing, BP7C Fireproofing, BP8A Doors, Frames & Hardware, BP8D Overhead Doors, BP8F Glass & Glazing, BP9A Drywall, Framing & EIFS, BP9B Acoustical Ceilings, BP9D Painting, BP9E Resilient & Carpet Flooring, BP9F Terrazzo, BP10A Signage, BP10F Pre-Engineering Canopy, BP10Q Operable Partitions, BP10Z Misc. Specialties, BP11E Kitchen Equipment, BP12A Window Treatment.

3:00 PM:  BP 21A Fire Protection, BP22A Plumbing, BP23A Mechanical, BP23B HVAC Controls, BP23C TAB, 23D Plumbing & Mech Combo, BP26A Electrical/Fire Alarm, BP27A Telecommunication, BP27B Intercom and Sound, 28B Security, BP32E Site Concrete, BP32O Landscaping, &32A Playground Equipment.

All bids will be received and opened publicly at JCPS Simpson Building Board Room (2320 US-70 Bus Smithfield, NC 27577).  Bids will not be accepted from bidders that are not pre-qualified.

On February 20th, 2024, a Pre-Bid Meeting & HUB Outreach will be held at 2:00 pm in person at the JCPS Simpson Building Board Room and virtually via Microsoft Teams. Notice of Public Meeting for Proposed Alternate Bids will include Owner Preferred Brand Alternates for the following: Schlage, LCN, Von Duprin, South Bend, Cleveland, Trenton, Color Point, Hobart, Distech, Belimo, Delta, NAPCO, S2, AiPhone, Axis, Bogen, & BerkTek-Leviton. During the Virtual Pre-Bid Meeting, Owner preferred products for the project will be reviewed.

Bid Documents will be available on  February 15th, 2024, at http://app.buildingconnected.com/_/risk/public-invite/5430e7a75cdc2e0300dd757d .  All interested parties are advised that the pre-qualified bidders list will be finalized and made available via the issuance of a project addendum no less than 7 days prior to bid. All Bidders are strongly encouraged to include opportunities for Minority Business participation wherever possible in their respective bid submission.  Good faith efforts are a part of this contract and must comply with the State of North Carolina General Statutes.  The CM and Owner reserve the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.  Should you require additional direction, contact Zach Hall ([email protected]).
