NOTICE TO SUBCONTRACTOR ADVERTISEMENT TO BID
FOR THE
RALEIGH-DURHAM AIRPORT AUTHORITY
PARKING GARAGE 1 & 2 RESTORATION 

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID:

Balfour Beatty / Metcon has been selected as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) for the project and will receive bids from and contract with the principal contractors for the execution of the work.

Sealed proposals from Pre-Qualified Bidders will be received by Balfour Beatty / Metcon for the Parking Garage 1 & 2 Restoration project on April 16, 2024, at 5:00 PM. 

Bids may be submitted electronically through Balfour Beatty‘s Building Connected site or via email to Trent Johnson at [email protected] .                                 

A non-mandatory Prebid Conference and MWSB Workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at 200 Haleys Branch Rd., Cary, NC 27513.  Site tours will take place immediately following the pre-bid event.  Bidders will need to park in the RDU Parking Garage to attend the site tour.  You may also request a virtual invite to the meeting by emailing Daisy Vargas at [email protected] or you may access by clicking the below link.

All bidders must be prequalified by Balfour Beatty / Metcon in accordance with the Airport Authority’s “Prequalification of Bidders for Construction or Repair Projects Policy.”  The deadline for prequalification package submittals is two weeks prior to the bid date at 5:00 PM.  A current listing of all prequalified bidders in each bid package and instructions for prequalification can be publicly obtained in Tab 7 of the Bid Manual.  The Construction Manager and Owner reserve the right to add pre-qualified bidders beyond this deadline.

All Bidders are strongly encouraged to include opportunities for Minority Business participation wherever possible in their respective bid submission.  Minority Business is a part of this contract and must comply with the State of North Carolina General Statutes and RDU MWSB program.  The goal for this project is 5% MBE and 5% WBE.
