Polk County 911 Call Center project

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 

The following are instructions to all bidders:

  1. GENERAL

a.     Harper General Contractors (GC) will receive proposals from pre-qualified firms for the Polk County 911 Call Center project on the date and time specified                    herein.
b.     GC reserves the right to reject any or all Bids if they do not conform to the specified submission criteria.
c.     The Project Site is located at 40 Ward St. #1, Columbus, NC 28722.
d.     The Contract Documents will consist of:
i.    Project drawings dated 2/29/2024.
ii.    Project specifications dated 07/27/2023.
iii.   All issued Addenda
iv.   being Phasing Plans
e.     Bid date – Thursday, May 2nd, 2024, 2 pm (See below for specifics)

  1. BIDS
     a.     All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope on the proper bid package form associated with the scope of work proposed.
    b.     All labels must contain the name of bidder and package number.
    c.     Bids must be mailed or delivered in person to the following locations:i.    If submitting prior to bid day, bids must be mailed to:
    1.     Harper General Contractors
    301 College Street, Suite 140
    Asheville, NC 28801

    ii.  If submitting on bid day, bids must be hand delivered to the Polk County
    Administration Building at the appropriate opening time:

    1. No submission is allowed or accepted after the start of bid opening (2 pm).
    2. Attn: County Manager

  1. MODIFICATION OR WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS
    a.  No Bids may be withdrawn or modified for a period of sixty (60) days after the                       scheduled opening date. 
  1. TIME FOR COMPLETION
    a.  Estimated project schedule is expected to run from June of 2024 – March of 2025.
